Growing up as a Los Angeles native, Erica spent her formative years studying theater and majored in Theater Arts and History at Whittier College where she wrote and produced four short films including Signed, Souled & Delivered.
Erica was introduced to An 11:11 Experience when she auditioned for the role of Sera, a drug addicted prostitute, in the stage version of The Playground, a Rock-Drama inspired by the lives of teenage runaways and homeless kids. Erica immediately connected to the content of the piece and was captivated by the kid’s stories.Experiencing first hand the passion that An 11:11 Experience brings to a project combined with the dedication to creating meaningful art and media, inspired Erica to join the team.
in 2008 Erica produced Someplace In Between, a short film about 7 strangers who get stuck in an elevator. The film explores the inner workings of peoples' minds and the judgments we all carry with us. Someplace In Between was, most recently, an official selection of the 2009 LA Shorts Film Festival. In early 2009, Erica produced Deliver Us, a psychological thriller about the mysterious death of a complex and confused young woman.
In the summer of 2009 Erica, along with her team at An 11:11 Experience, began shooting a PSA on homeless and street kids in Los Angeles. The project grew into a feature documentary and a movement for social awareness and change. The topic of homeless kids is one that Erica has grown strongly passionate about and she has been humbled and honored to be one of the founding members of Spare Some Change as well as an active producer on the first media project “The American Street Kid”, a documentary on America’s homeless youth. The opportunity Spare Some Change created to meet the kids and hear their stories was invaluable and the most rewarding film experience of her career to date.
